(Memphis) Thirty two year-old Carlos Hilson is behind bars without bond after Memphis Police charged him with First Degree Murder.
29 year-old Candice Mahone was shot and killed at a home on Bryan in North Memphis Thursday October 25th.
Witnesses claim Mahone was on the porch when someone drove by and began shoot.
Memphis Police said that Hilson was the man behind the trigger.
They say he was firing at two men who were running past the home where Mahone was sitting on the porch.
Hilson is also charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
“It’s hard. The last time I saw her she walked to the end of the driveway and she waved at me because every time you see her she smiled,” said Kay Parrish who knew Mahone and lived at the house next to where Mahone was killed.
“I guess he got mad because he couldn’t get his aim and he was just shooting. He was shooting recklessly. No place is safe for anybody right now. I’m scared to even come out side now,” added Parrish.
Memphis Police claim there was another man in the car with Hilson.
That suspect has not been arrested yet.
