What you need to know to register your kids for SCS, prepare for new school year

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The first day of school is right around the corner, and there’s still time to register your children for classes.

Shelby County Schools said 41,000 students are already done with online registration thanks to the new early registration process the district kicked off in May.

You can register both online here and in person. Parents can register their children in person on weekdays at the Parent Welcome Center at 2687 Avery Ave. or the Northeast Regional Office at 920 N. Highland St.

Starting July 25, parents can also get help with registration at their child’s school.

Parents will need to show proof of residence and show their child is up-to-date on the required immunizations.

If you have questions about the immunizations or your student needs one, call the SCS student health clinics at 901-531-6321 or go to http://www.scsk12.org/clinic. The four clinics are open all summer for appointments.
