The state will not be seeking the death penalty in the Lorenzen Wright murder case, prosecutors announced during a pre-trial hearing on Monday.

Sherra Wright is expected to be arraigned on first-degree murder charges in the 2010 death of her ex-husband.

Prosecutors say Billy Ray Turner, Sherra Wright and a third person conspired to kill Lorenzen Wright in Atlanta before his 2010 murder.

Sherra Wright stood in between her defense team that includes attorneys from two of the city’s top law firms.
