The Old Farmer’s Almanac says this summer will be a ‘doozy’
Get ready for a sizzling summer ahead! According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, the summer of 2025 is shaping up to be a scorcher. With above-normal temperatures expected across most of the U.S., except for the Northwest and southern Florida, it’s time to prepare for the heat. The Almanac predicts that July and August will bring above-normal temperatures, with only a few exceptions. For example, the Deep South and Desert Southwest are expected to experience significantly warmer conditions than normal — so if you live there, it’s probably a good idea to invest in something to help mitigate the heat, like a portable or window-mounted air conditioner.
The hottest periods are anticipated in early to mid-July. The good news is that rainfall is also expected to be above normal in several parts of the country, so that may help cool things down at least a little.
