Cramsey enjoying final days with Henigan at Memphis

MEMPHIS – It is hard to imagine that the Memphis Tigers are just a week away from playing in their bowl game, next Tuesday in Frisco, Texas.

It is harder to imagine that that game will be the final game in the blue and gray for quarterback Seth Henigan.

Henigan and the tigers were back on the practice field Monday as they continue counting down the days until they take on West Virginia in the Frisco Bowl. A game that will be played less than an hour from Henigan’s hometown of Denton, Texas.

Ever since Henigan stepped foot on campus back in 2020, he’s been the Tigers starter.

He’s re-written the Memphis record books but also developed the kind of relationships that last a lifetime.

Like the one with longtime offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey.

“Everybody sees Seth on Saturday afternoons, 12 times a year. 13 times in the bowl game. Me and him have spent everyday together, minus vacation time, for three years now. So we’re enjoying every moment. We’re enjoying every second,” Cramsey said. “How smart he is and how detailed he is and the game plan. He’s made me a better coach. I’ve made him a better player. We’ve made each other better human beings and that’s what it’s all about.”

They’ll share one more game together in the Tigers 11th straight bowl game vs. West Virginia.
