This year’s field for the FedEx St. Jude Classic, June 3-9 at TPC Southwind, is shaping up to be one of the best ever.

Phil Mickelson, whose daring shot-making skill and engaging personality have made him a favorite of golf galleries worldwide, has committed to play in the event.

Mickelson, nicknamed ‘Lefty’, has won four major championships, including three Masters Tournaments. He was recently inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.  This will be making his third appearance in the FESJC and first since 2009.

Also playing will be international amateur sensation Guan Tianlang, the 14-year old golfer from China who recently became the youngest player in the history of the Masters Tournament.

Not only did Guan qualify for the Masters, the remarkable youngster made the cut and finished as the low-amateur, impressing many of the sport’s top players and adding quickly to his lore as one of the rapidly rising stars in the world.

FESJC officials believe he will be the youngest player to ever play in the event.

News Channel 3’s “Be Our Guest” program is offering a great deal to see the tournament! We’ve got Family Packs for $74, a $144 value! They include four one day admissions, four hot dogs, and four soft drinks.
