Memphis Tigers fall to No. 25 in AP, Coaches polls

The Memphis Tigers’ loss to the Navy Midshipmen may have put an end to their undefeated season, but it didn’t push them out of the polls.

The Tigers are still ranked, though they fell to No. 25 in both the AP poll and the Coaches poll. Last week, Memphis was at No. 15 in the AP and No. 16 in the Coaches.

Navy is now ranked after the upset win.

The Ole Miss Rebels dropped out of both polls after their overtime loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Mississippi State Bulldogs moved up, now at No. 20 in both polls.

Both polls agree on the top four but not in the same order. Ohio State didn’t move from the top spot in the Coaches poll, but the AP named Clemson as its No. 1.

The AP top four is Clemson, Ohio State, Alabama and Baylor. In the Coaches poll, it’s Ohio State, Clemson, Baylor and Alabama.

The next College Football Playoff poll is released Tuesday. Memphis was ranked No. 13 last week.

The Tigers visit the No. 16 Houston Cougars on Saturday.
