MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Boston Celtics moved their No. 30 pick in a trade in the 2020 NBA Draft, and made the selection for the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies drafted Desmond Bane, a guard from Texas Christian University. Bane averaged 15.8 points per game and 10.8 rebounds and helps fill one of the Grizzlies biggest needs.

“I feel like it’s definitely shooting,” Bane said. “Shooting and my willingness to defend. You know, Ja Morant obviously is a great player and is great at getting in the lane, and Jaren Jackson draws a lot of attention, so being able to spread the floor and being a willing defender I think will be huge for me early on in my career.”
