MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The University of Memphis Tigers basketball team will be without a familiar face when they take on Nicholls State Tuesday.

The Athletic Department released a statement saying they had been contacted by the American Athletic Conference Monday afternoon.

The organization said Shaq Goodwin had violated its Sportsmanship code and wouldn’t be allowed to play in Tuesday night’s game.

On Saturday, Goodwin tripped a USC player resulting in the suspension.
