MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It’s finally Friday, which means it’s time to look at several events happening across the greater Memphis area this weekend.
Let’s get started with the plant sale at Memphis Botanic Garden.
The annual plant sale starts Friday and runs all weekend long at the Nursery at the Garden. Today is only open to MBG members, however anyone can come shop on Saturday and Sunday.
The hours are Friday from noon until 4 p.m.
If you want to sip your way through some of the best Oktoberfest beers you can find here locally, check out the Oktoberfest Brewery Tours this weekend.
Depending on the date, you will have the opportunity to visit three local breweries.
Tickets for the event are $69. The tour runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
This Saturday is the 2nd annual Oktoberfest at Overton Square and it’s free to attend.
Come dressed in your Dirndls and Lederhosen as you dance, sing, eat, and drink the flavors of Germany in Chimes Square.
Saturday is also Lakeland’s Harvest Festival. This event is also free to attend.
There will be trick-or-treat stations, face-painting games, and more. There is also a costume contest divided by age starting with two and under at 1:15 p.m.
Saturday night, Riley Keough will be at Graceland for a book tour of Lisa Marie Presley’s memoir. This is at 6:30 p.m. at the Graceland sound stage.
Tickets for the event are $40.
To round out the weekend, on Sunday you can see a free play.
The Comedy of Errors is being presented by the Tennessee Shakespeare Company at Davies Manor.
This event is at 4 p.m. Be sure to bring chairs or cushions to sit on.
