MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It’s finally Friday, which means it’s time to look at several events happening across the greater Memphis area this weekend. There is something for everyone.
Let’s get started with the Mid-South Sports and Boat Show! All this weekend check out the hottest new boats, and for those interested in buying, there will be plenty of discounts on hand.
The show starts at 2 p.m. Friday at the Agricenter. Tickets are only $10.
Are you still looking for some romantic activities to celebrate the day of love? Blue Suede Ballroom is hosting dance classes for couples on Friday evening! Get your tango on from 6 to 7 p.m. at the ballroom along Southwind Park. Tickets are $42 per couple.
On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. you and the kids can attend the annual Great Backyard Bird Count! Children will be able to make pinecone bird feeders and will also receive binoculars to decorate.
The event is at the Memphis Botanic Garden. Activities are free with garden admission.
Lafayette’s Music Room is honoring the late great Tina Turner! The show starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday. There may be a cover fee so keep some cash on hand!
Grind City is spring cleaning for the second year in a row! On Saturday, from noon until 10 p.m., delight in discounted merch and $5 beer! The event is free!
On Sunday Funday, the Tennessee Equality Project invites you to its gumbo contest! The event is held at the Memphis Sports and Events Center from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
Tickets are $35 and include gumbo tasting, voting in the competition, and live music!
