MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police say a parent turned in two 15-year-old boys for the robbery of a customer Saturday night at a North Memphis gas station.
Police say two people were caught on camera following around the customer inside the Marathon at the 2500 block of Jackson.
When the victim approached the clerk to make a purchase, they snatched the victim’s handgun from his waistband.
Police said when the victim tried to get his gun back, one of the suspects pointed it at him.
A clerk at the store Thursday said his brother was working behind the counter that night and saw it all happen.
Memphis Police said a parent turned in the two juveniles to police at the Austin Peay Station at around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said they also recovered the stolen weapon.
The teens are charged with robbery and theft of property under $1,000.
