MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Two men are on the run after police say shots were fired inside the Wolfchase Galleria Mall Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to the shots fired call just before 1 p.m.

Police did not say what led to the incident but said no one was hurt.

Several merchants said the shooting happened inside B Connected Wireless.

One mall employee did not want to be identified and said he heard three shots. He said the suspects were shooting at a clerk at the cell phone store because they were upset about not getting a refund.

He said one of the suspects left behind one of his shoes.

Junia Robinson at OB Beauty & Spa, heard a loud thud and saw other merchants pulling down their security gates.

Robinson said she saw two suspects run right past the salon.

“Because it sounded like a thud, I didn’t really recognize it as a gunshot, but then once I saw everybody run, we just went to the back of our salon and closed our gate,” Robinson said. “I wasn’t scared per se. I was more upset that there wasn’t any security around when it happened because they got away.”

Police said the suspects fled the scene in a black sedan. They were likely caught on camera inside the mall.

“They looked young,” Robinson said. “They didn’t even look out of high school. They looked very young.”
