MEMPHIS, Tenn — One of the suspects in a downtown shooting that injured a Houston rapper and killed a Memphis man has been found dead in Houston, Memphis Police say.

Jayden Dandrige 21, was wanted in the Mar. 22 shooting outside the Westin Hotel on George W. Lee Avenue. The warrant is no longer active, police say.

Jayden Dandridge can be seen in video released by MPD exiting this white Dodge with what appears to be a weapon.

Letorian Hunt, 27, also known as Sayso P was pronounced dead at the scene, while Albert Mondane, 34, also known by his stage name Sauce Walka, was transported to Regional One Health in non-critical condition.

According to police, the suspects got out of a white car and shot at the two victims. Investigators retrieved the stolen white 2021 Dodge Charger 392 Scat Pack in connection to the case.

A second suspect, Kevin Brown, 22, has been identified, and an arrest warrant has been issued charging him with First-Degree Murder, Attempted First-Degree Murder, Employment of a Firearm during the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and Theft of Property $10,000 -$60,000.

Memphis Police Chief C.J. Davis said police used surveillance cameras and other data to piece together vital information in less than 12 hours.

“The Memphis Police Department’s homicide unit has worked tirelessly around the clock to bring justice to the victims and their families,” Davis said.
